LIST OF DELHI SULTANS:
The Ruling of the Delhi Sultanate began with the invasion of Muhammad Ghori. He had brought more number of slaves and appointment them as officers. After that many dynasties ruled the Delhi Sultanate. Here, we provide names and reigns of Delhi Sultanate in chronological order. The period from 1206 A.D. to 1526 A.D to be known as the Delhi Sultanate period. Mainly five dynasties ruled Delhi during the period.
Major Dynasties of Delhi Sultanate
(i) Slave Dynasty (1206-1290 AD)
(ii) Khiljee Dynasty (1290-1320 AD)
(iii) Tughlaq Dynasty (1320-1414 AD)
(iv) Sayyid Dynasty (1414-1451 AD)
(v) Lodhi Dynasty (1451-1526 AD)
Slave Dynasty (1206-1290 AD):
